傷後慘兮兮 滾地球大師退休

前亞利桑那響尾蛇隊賽揚強投Brandon Webb因右肩受到一連串傷勢的影響，5日Webb的經紀人透露這位滾地球大師決定即將退休的消息。

2000年Webb在選秀會中被響尾蛇挑中，03年登上大聯盟，該季即繳出10勝9敗、防禦率2.84不俗的成績，2005年與球隊簽下4年1950萬美元的合約，內容還附帶2010年的球隊選擇權。

自05年球季開始，Webb連4年繳出單季10勝以上的投球成績，2006年更拿下國聯勝投王和投手至高榮譽：賽揚獎，奠定其地位。

由於Webb的伸卡球威力十足，過去常和我國旅美好手王建民相比，但不同的是，Webb的三振功力也相當了得，單季曾送出高達194次的奪三振次數。

然而在拿下單季最高的22勝之後，2009年Webb的右肩傷勢爆發，並於季中動刀治療，卻從此一蹶不振。

2010年季後Webb與德州遊騎兵隊簽下1年合約，試圖東山再起，但除在小聯盟成績不理想外，他又再動第2次肩膀手術，難以恢復過去水準而萌生退意。
